entertainment for greedy pleasure or needy leisure?

Entertainment -the word can be best described simply as something which makes you happy,something which stimulates your impulses and gratifies your basic instinct to enjoy!!!! something which eases your tension and holds your attention for a span of time which is larger than you can imagine!its impossible to hold time but i believe the media has caged all history in the form of entertainment.

In the world which seems to be running ahead of time everyone seems to be longing for pleasure and leisure. Where everyone is working endlessly and tirelessly a pause is required to rejuvinate and relax a bit and the best fruitful pause is then converted to a form of entertainment .giving people a break from the monotony of life.

Fortunately or unfortunately media has become the dominant prevailing culture in the modern society. media is the synonym used for the word entertainment.media has shifted its orientation from information to entertainment only to gratify the needs of the people. But the step over the shift the change is not seeming very healthy to me..in the greed of entertaining oneself man has started compromising on his basic ability to think choose and implement and he is actually now ready to chew ,swallow and even digest all what the media platter is offering to him.
the time which was earlier set apart for grooming personal talents and skills is now being spent with eyes fixed on a tv screen.. AND THE FIXATION IS SUCH THAT, mindsets have also become SO rigid towards ALL endeavours of life SOCIAL ,POLITICAL, MORAL, ECONOMIC,AESTHETIC..just because of the media.Innovative thinking ,NOVELTY OF MINDS, is now being caged whereas stereotypes ,prejuduce have become the common identities of many and all this can be accredited to the media.leisure time has now become pleasurE time only!!!
entertainment in the media is working as a double edged sword these days acting as a symbol of creative power but destroying the civilisation slowly and steadily. humane morals,beliefs,perceptions and understandings all are being transformed destroyed and slowly being wiped away by the media only.media has become selfish in its giving to the masses but why should the borrowers be blind to as to what they are recieve? the people shoUld try to mediate within the gap of real life and reel life and should understand that its the imitation of reality and not the reality itself and the media should try TO create it as constructively AS POSSIBLE for the masses.
